I started this new year with a visit to the new Nalanda University construction place to see how’s the work is going on.
I cannot express in words what I felt! the place is surrounded by five mountains and the weather and atmosphere is perfect for Dhamma study and meditation practice.
The wonderful thing is that it has the same structure as the ancient Nalanda University of Buddha Sasana.
It will be a great inspiration for all women who want to learn Buddhism or aspire to ordination.
In the future, I aspire Nalanda University can be one of India’s best Buddhist university, that can promote equity and integrate women. I feel immense joy and happiness because this is the first step to build a Bhikkuni Sangha in India!
