- Graduated at the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies in Varanasi and also studied at Namdroling Monastery, at the Ngagyur Nyingma Institute, where he was enthroned as a Khenpo in 2011.
- He has translated The All-Pervading Melodious Sound of Thunder: The Outer Liberation Story of Terton Migyur Dorje together with Judith Amtzis and is currently working on a new translation of Longchenpa's Treasury of Pith Instructions.
- He travels extensively with Khenchen Pema Sherab Rinpoche, serving as his translator.
